“Jack was the man who gave me a start in watchmaking over 30 years ago. Jack gave me my first group of tools which consisted of 3 old screwdrivers, 1 old pair of tweezers and an eye loupe. Jack had a good laugh for the next 30 years at my expense, by selling me a heap of wood on his store’s floor, which he said was a watchmaker’s bench that needed to be re-assembled. After a large bottle of Elmer’s glue was used, it was found that the incredible purchase from Jack only had 3 legs; it was propped up against the wall and used for the next 30 years.  Jack never let me forget it and had a good chuckle about it.” – Sam Cannan
